Rock On

Really, it was only a matter of time...

After dinner things can get a little crazy in Mason's crib. He gets ridiculously active, to include throwing his body all over the place and into the rails, which has caused quite a few red marks on his noggin. We have a good time though watching him play and laugh.

Mason has a new friend!

Proud Papa, LD, with Max.
Mason trying to get his hands on his new toy...I mean Max.

Welcome, Max! After two months of eager anticipation, the McIntyre and Platt family finally got together for a play date. Sara and LD were nice enough to have us over for lunch and let Mason roughhouse with their son.

My New Playroom

The play mats arrived! Andy and I had a great time putting our little guy's play mats together. Today we head to Pap and Mama's house to pick up a bookcase for all of Mason's toys and books. Yay, yay, yay, fun, fun, fun!

Yep, I'm a big boy.

Mason at AJ's Baptism

Waking up Daddy...

Mason's world has suddenly gotten much bigger. He now has the ability to flop his way forward in pursuit of...well...anything. He likes shoes, toys, blankets, socks, spit-up and pretty much anything else he can get his hands on. We are in the process of baby-proofing the house which is actually incredibly difficult to do. The books say to crawl around on the floor so you can see what a baby might see. However, no matter the level of my crawl, floors will still be hard and not a great thing to bonk your head on. Yep, Mason has bonked a few times and has the red marks to prove it. The battle wounds helped me rationalize purchasing a foam play mat to go in the playroom.
In other Mason news, he is sporting a toothy grin! Two pearly whites appeared about two weeks ago-I'll try to get good pic.

Downward Dog, Mason style

I definitely think Mason will be crawling soon due to his fancy yoga moves and rolly-polly nature. However, all of these new moves have made diaper changes next to impossible. It gets really exciting when he wants to roll over mid-change. Doesn't matter what "treats" are present, he's going to roll if he he wants to. My baby is strong and persistent!
